Fundación TECNALIA Research & Innovation is a private, non‐profit‐making technological research centre located in the Basque country (Spain). TECNALIA employs 1,434 people (202 PhDs; 2016) and is the leading private research and technology entity in Spain and the fifth largest in Europe.

TECNALIA operates in all fields of industry. TECNALIA is a member of JIIP (Joint Institute for Innovation Policy), a member of the Executive Committee of EARTO (European Association of Research and Technology Organisations) and a member of EUROTECH.
